RPK problems

Postby Zeta Crossfire » Fri Dec 10, 2010 9:28 pm

Just bought a CA RPK from airsoft outlet Tuesday so it's pretty new, but today I think the gearbox just died. With finals I really haven't had a chance to use it until today. I was shooting it in the back yard with a friend and In total I've maybe put 50 rounds though it before I heard a loud whine from inside the gun now every time I fire I just hear a click noise. I've tried to fire the gun with different battery's, but all I get is the clicking noise. Surprisingly

I've never had a gearbox fail on me so I'm unsure if it is the gearbox or maybe something else. I'll bring it by AONW tomorrow, but was wondering if there was something I could do to it tonight, any suggestions? thanks

take motor out and release the anti reversal latch. sometimes gearboxes lock up and this can cure it

Actually now that I think of it I really don't want to open anything up and break anything I'll just bring it in tomorrow.

Don't crack the gearbox, it will void the warranty. Outlet will take good care of you.
