magazine catch

Postby Sea Bass » Mon Dec 13, 2010 6:48 pm

Is there someway I can get my magazines in my gun better? So the magazine will feed better? Because lately I have had to hold the magazine in the gun so it will feed. Thankyou.

Sea Bass, the first thing you should do is spray some silicon spray on the feet tube, load bbs, release bbs, repeat twice.

If they don't feed as well afterwards check how tightly your magazines are fitting in the magwell, it could very well be a too loose or too tight fit.

I would also check if there wires in the way of the magazine as well if the magazine has dirt in it.
Also are these mags mids or highs and how old/used.

Limpy: The magazines shake around a little, thats all I have noticed for now. No wires or anything in the way. And too add on, where may I purchase some Silicone oil besides online? I have been told they sell some at auto repair centers.

Riotingcows: I got 8 midcaps from Octose at ressurection 2 last August. They have been used in 2 games I believe.

Does the spring push all the bbs out? Seems unlikely but the springs could be shot.

When you hold in the mags, is there a certain way that makes it feed better or just a little pressure fixes it?

Has this been a long running issue or just recent?

It started happening once I got a good feel for the gun you know? and just a pressure fix sometimes helps it depending on which way I pressure it. Same problem happens for the high cap.

My CA M4 did that, not sure why. I just settled it on being the mags and the not-so-agreeable hop up... well... not agreeing.
Please, I insist.

does pushing up on the mag make them feed? If so, it could just be that they got worn down ever so slightly and now it isn't pushing the little bb stopper that keeps bbs from flying out when it isn't in the gun all the way.

Yeah that could be. I'll check on that for sure. But the thing is, it happens with high caps too. I dont know if there is that much of a difference for High Caps and Mid caps.
