Ares quick change?

Postby pseudoanimosity » Tue Dec 28, 2010 4:57 pm

I've heard both good and bad things about the ares quick change spring system, can anyone who has dealt with it give me their opinion of whether or not it's worth it?

The reason I ask is that I've heard that the quick change can't handle anything more than an m100 and that the entire ares gearbox doesn't take well to aftermarket parts, can anyone confirm this?

PS I don't think this I'll matter, but the gearbox I'm talking about comes in their full metal m4

It can handle over an M100... But it depends, do you think you'd really use it that often? IMO an ICS M4 would be better.

ive put as high as an M110 into my mk43, and an M130 into my L1A1. needs a juiced up battery to cycle it, but otherwise they both work fine.

My friends TAR21 handled my m120 and m110's perfectly. I just had them lying around, and the after-markets worked fine. I don't think that changing it every game would be practical, but thats just my opinion. Its like those battery cases on TV remotes; open it too many times and eventually it doesn't close.
