Just doing some AK browsing and i came across this video

Postby Toan » Mon Jan 24, 2011 6:31 pm

Some extreme abuse on a Real Sword Type 56. if i liked ak model aeg guns and felt the need to spend the price this gun is worth, this video would definitely sell me on a RS type 56. but im pretty impressed either way.

it might be a repost on here not really too sure.
also not really sure if it goes here either.

oops forgot to link you guys lol

Jewish Ninja has a RS Type 56 and has litterally thrown it against a boulder because it "looked to new".

It's also recently survived a lipo battery exploding in the buttstock...

I was screaming in agony the whole video. Also, did you notice how she spoke English for a small part?
I thought Russkie's Real Sword stopped working, although it may have been from wiring. I might need to pick one of these up. I wonder what their new M4's will be like?

Several members of Fragistan have RS, and swear by them.

I was not super impressed by the video.
Real Sword AKs have Real Steel bodies so I'm not surprised they can handle the abuse.

Burying it under snow, not gonna do any damage.
Burying it under sand, not gonna do immediate damage.
Firework on top of it again not gonna do anything other than cosmetic damage, which on an AK is an improvment.
Burying it with a firework, more impressive though it did take some damage there.
Running it over with a car, if they showed it would still feed after the mag got hit I'd say that was impressive. I didn't expect anything else left to take significant damage.
The largest problem with this video is how long does the AK still work after all this. If it only goes for another 1000 shots then it can't really be considered to survive.

After saying all that the RS AK is probably the best one on the market now.
G&G has gone a little blow back happy so their current AKs don't have the awesome replica bolts that they used to.

Meh the RS Type 56 has problems. I've spent countless dollars and hours on my RS to get it to work okay. It's basically a money pit in terms of internals. Externally it's alright. It's survived the many beatings I've through (mainly bashing trees with it), but the butt stock broke after an encounter with a tree at LOW. That's fine though as the China furniture on the gun is ugly, so it gave me a reason to get it change to some good ol' AKM style furniture.

Overall if I had to do it over again, I would just buy a Dboys AK-74 and make it sexy for a lot cheaper. I mean shit look at Pickle's Custom Dboys AIM. One of the sexiest airsoft AK I've seen.

Think you missed the point there. The gun survived both of those incidents none the worse for wear. RS replicas are among the sturdiest on the market. My RS Type 97 is the most solid AEG I've ever owned and possibly the sturdiest AEG I've ever handled, period.

Russkie, I think you got the weird one of the bunch. Besides my contacts moving out of place (which was an easy fix) I haven't had a single issue with my Type 56.

Andrew, you left out swinging it into a tree, using it as a sword in an AK sword fight and the millions of other times I've dropped it, kicked it, and generally handled it in a way that most wouldn't with their replicas.
