Looking for an M4

Postby Icepick » Sun Feb 20, 2011 7:24 pm

Well...

Style: M4, full length barrel.

Brand: Any.

Price: Under $200

Body: Plastic or metal. Trades don't matter.

Those are really all the things I'm looking for... I would like to purchase this from Airsoft GI or Airsoft Outlet NW.

(I also have a brand new M9PTP that I would trade for an M4, PM me if you are interested.)

CA Sportlines

But I have to admit, AK's are a much better choice in terms of overall cost. The version 3 gearbox is solid, you will be doing very few repairs, and it just looks tight. I would suggest this. http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=408_416&products_id=4342
If you don't like the wood it comes with, you can buy aftermarket or real steel wood furniture. Just hit up CapnPickles.

Dboys METAL BODIED M4.

I know you said plastic or metal, but go with a metal body. It will be more sturdy, and last longer, plus you can freeze your skin to it on cold days. What's more to love?

Metal bodies are better because you won't break you body tabs.

Cuz that always sucks.

However, if you want all that in a...crisper looking gun, and want to use the M4 magazines you just got, then get a magwell conversion for your G36. I have heard that they sometimes do not work very well, but with enough trigger time and custom fitting I have seen them perform VERY well.

I've just gotta ditch my G36 though... I've had nothing but trouble with it, and the thing is innacurate, low fps, etc. I would rather just start up with a new platform rather than try to deal with this G36 some more.

By the way, would a Stag Arms E1 M4 be better than the CA sportline posted?

G&G > E1 > CA-SL

The Classic Army sportline sucks. I've owned two, and they have like JG internals and crap externals. The E1 has decent insides, but the externals aren't great either. The G&G combat machine gun has workable internals, but much better externals than the first two.

+1 for metal bodies.

I have a complete V3 that should fix your problems. Wired to the rear though. Yours for $5; you'd need to have the outlet guys fix it up and install it for you but it is great.

My gearbox runs like its brand new, the problem is the hop-up, and probably something with the air nozzle engaging the hop-up.

EDIT: What about a G4 M4 from ASGI?

Fix it and get the magwell conversion. It will be better and cheaper than getting a low end M4. I've used the magwell conversion to much success.

The amount of money I've put into constantly fixing my G36 is ridiculous... Thats why I need to stop using it, and find a gun that will actually work for more than a half a game.
