Redwolf custom replicas.

Postby Icepick » Thu Mar 10, 2011 9:07 pm

So, I've never done business with Redwolf airsoft and don't know what they are all about... But has anybody had any experience with them or their custom replicas? I was contemplating buying this "Redwolf custom Full metal G&P M4a1."

Keep in mind it is for only $200 USD. So is this just a hoax? Or is it really a descent, full metal AEG for $200 USD?

(Here is the replica.)

Has HK416 fire selector markings, and some Arabic writing on the reverse side. Other than that I dont see anything special.

Redwolf buys bulk parts directly from G&P which is why some of their custom guns are so cheap (and from what I've gathered the Redwolf techs are pretty good).

Remember that Redwolf is in Hong Kong, so shipping is going to be at least $60 for a full size rifle.

In general, RWC guns are solid. I don't know about the cheaper priced ones, but I've had the opportunity to handle and field a RWC SAM-R, and it was fantastic. G&P internals and externals should make it solid.

But I question how "custom" this gun really is. And this is why.

The body is different, but I'm pretty sure it's the same gun. Which means it isn't custom, but just a standard G&P (not saying that in a degrading manner).

4-8 week shipping is $38

1-2 week shipping is $63

No wonder why it is so cheap... So all that glitters is not gold, kind of depressing. But still a good deal if you want to support Redwolf as a return customer or something.

Oh, Shifty's right. It would be cheaper to grab one from ASGI than from Redwolf.

Icepick, if you want a G&P, look on airsoftpost.com. I'm not an Evike guy, but if I ever wanted a G&P, I would probably buy it from them.

No, as stated before, shipping costs a lot because it's in HK.

I'm not an Evike guy when it comes to guns either... Did the math and I can get the G&P from Airsoft GI for ~$227 shipped. But how are these G&P guns? And are they really worth the extra money as opposed to a Dboys M4?

No matter what. G&P will always be better quality than Dboys. Keep in mind though. The G&P is wired to deans. You would need to have your batteries wired to deans for that gun.

ASGI would bE $250 shipped for the standard G&P M4 (the one Shifty linked).

And G&P is regarded by many as the best m4/m16 manufacturer. They have nice internals and the best externals on the market. It would be a good investment as far as airsoft goes.

I haven't had much use with G&P guns, but I love the externals on my VFC M4. However I am aware that VFC internals are not necessarily praise worthy, unlike G&P.

Meh, it's all personal opinion. VFC's externals are also really nice, but their internals are rather mediocre.

Anyway, that's a debate for a different thread. The G&P m4 would make a great beginner rifle, no dealing with the Chinese clones grease and mediocrity.

@ Lexrocker
Yes. I personally think VFC internals are pretty shitty. I think they are way overpriced for a gun that internally, is only slightly above rebranded guns like Echo 1.

@ Icepick
Keep in mind that the G&P linked is a very bare bones gun. You have very limited modification ability until you put a RIS system on that. And you're looking at putting out at least another $40+ for a mediocre RIS, and more if you want a good quality one.
