ACM AK47 Wood furniture?

Postby Icepick » Thu Mar 17, 2011 9:18 pm

I can't find any videos/images of this kit on an AK... And for $55, you can't expect much, right? I was wondering if anybody knew about this kit, and if people can tell me whether or not it is worth the $55.

(Here is the ASM AK47 Wood kit.)

If this stuff is junk, can anybody reccomend any good wood kits for an AK47? And if you have one you want to sell/trade, feel free to PM me.

If it's a crap color, just restain it. AK stocks aren't supposed to be pretty, anyway.

They totally are works of art. Much better looking than the SCAR will ever be.

$55 for an AK wood kit? Madness!

Seriously, real steel surplus costs half of that on average. It requires some modification to get it to fit, but at least you will have the sexiest looking AK wood out there.

Goto the next gun show and pick up some used wood for cheap. Mod to fit and be happy!

The 'real steel' stock is going to be solid wood right? I'm a little bit conserned about fitting a large battery in there, that is my only problem...

Just get a massive drill bit and bore it out. Then finish with a dremel!

(or just rewire)

I suggest getting some smaller 1200mah 7.4 LIPO battery's for the stock, you can mod the Cleaning kit holes to accept the battery's.

If you need any more info, you can PM me. I have worked and converted quite a few real steel wood kits to Airsoft.

I guess I can re-wire it to the top, how hard would that be?

And one last question, how can the pistol grip fit over the motor cage? (Without being as thin as paper!)

Actually a 7.4v 20C 2200mAh LiPo will fit. ;)

Real AK pistol grips are too thin. Airsoft ones are a good deal wider in order to fit the motor.
