KWA Gearbox Issues

Postby Bic 101 » Thu Feb 02, 2012 4:13 pm

Howdy,

I got a used KWA KM4-S and it came in pieces. I have to been tinckering with it and have gotten the secondary gearbox, a Matrix, to get power to the motor. But as soon as I put the whole assembly back into the body it will no longer work. I am not able to quite make the gear box line up with the pins as of yet but would this have the effect of removing all power from the system or creating a short? I don't really know where I should go next.

Any help?

Which assembly is the one going back into the gun? Is it the Matrix gearbox or the KWA gearbox?

If there is no current being passed through the gun (zero response from a gearbox) I would suggest taking a look at the trigger contacts. I had this problem with my AK recently.

Well the problem is that the whole assembly works outside of the gun but not when it is put in the body.

I don't believe that a matrix box will work in a KWA body. You have to have a KWA box in KWA body. More than likely because of that, the motor is getting bound up and not working.

KWA guns only really play well with KWA parts. This is one of the biggest complaints about them.

So new problem. I got the gearbox apart and found that the trigger wasn't contacting the circuit well and got the fixed then put it back together. I got it to fire once and it sounded like it bound up and completely stopped making any noise. I would assume that the trigger isn't working again but I also stripped out the motor cover so I need a new grip. Thanks for the help guys.
