Help to ID this battery

Postby Payback » Fri Feb 17, 2012 8:36 pm

Can anyone tell me what the mah, and voltage this battery is?

I got it used today, was told it was a 10.8V battery with unknown mah. When i look up the markings (KR-1800SCE) it seems to be a 9.6v battery as each cell is 1.2v's and it says 1800 i'm guessing is the mah per cell.

It is compared next to a normal 9.6v 1600 mah battery.

Looks like your comparing it to a small cell 9.6v

Looks like a large cell 9.6v NIcd 1800mah

So is the whole battery just 1800mah then? I don't know if you added up the mah some way.

Yes it should be only 1800mah. When connected in series voltage adds up and when in parallel mah add up

If it were parallel the overall voltage would be 1.2v

A battery like this has cells in series and parallel but also 16 cells.

That's an 1800mAh NiCD large type, 9.6V for sure.

Thank you for the help. Kinda pointless to have such a damn huge battery for only 1800mah. oh well, glad I didn't pay much for it.
