Mid caps for m4 (or G36)

Postby Chairmanlao » Mon Feb 20, 2012 11:27 pm

Hey guys! Way back I posted something about the MAG brand mags not feeding in my Ares G36k with the Battle Axe converter. It worked, but all of a sudden they have stopped working. Grrr.

So question. Which mags do you prefer?

The specs of the gun - Ares G36k. 25RPS. 350 FPS.

How are the king arms one?

What about dropping the damn Battle Axe magwell and going back to G36 midcaps?

Suggestions would be great!
Thanks.

My M4 mag conversion stopped working for me as well. They can be fiddly, so I went back to G36 mags.

The ARES midcaps are probably fine, although they didn't like my Echo1 or CA g36s very much. They should work in yours though, since they are ARES. G&P is the only other company that makes good G36 midcaps.

Leave it to a guy with G36 in its name to answer this right? ha Thanks bud!

Should note that the conversion works for hi caps a bit better than the darn mid caps. But the loud shaking bb sound is such a con, i'll stick with the mid caps.

Before you totally give up on the M4 mags (which is kinda a good idea anyways since M4 mags look silly in G36s) try lubing your KA mags. I've had issues with that brand of mags before and lubing has helped.

Another option you can consider is the new Magpul G36 mags that are coming out. Ebaybanned (and everywhere else I'm sure) will have them in stock soon.

Ah, yes. They do look funky. But I have the MAG brand ones, I was just wondering (because I read from a few forums) that KA are pretty good.

Good looking out Ninja, thanks! I'll lube em up and maybe give the Magpul ones a try.
