What's the best DMR platform out there?

Postby Tork » Sun May 20, 2012 3:13 pm

I've seen some pre-made rifles but some people tell me that it's better to build your own. What's a quality or cheap platform?

I am converting my CA Tango Down ECR-4 into one. Just need an AWS programmable MOSFET to finish it off (so it's semi-auto only).
I do hope that after all this discreditable shuffling we may be taken into action. It has a wonderful way of reconciling a man with himself: and with everybody else, sometimes. - 1st Lt. James Dillon

Airsoft Gi has a few good custom DMRs. They're all based off the Combat Machine, so they're pretty inexpensive and high quality. Supposedly they drop the gun from 9 feet as a durability test, and they don't break.

G4-A5 DMR w/ 6.03 Barrel:

There are others, but this is the only one that will be in stock any time soon and is reasonably priced.

I'll be receiving an upgraded Classic Army SR25 pretty soon I think. Has a crane stock to allow for the "M4 feel".

The best DMR is an L86 with a Polarstar engine tuned just to DMR FPS levels and semi.

Bull Pup + Long Barrel + Semi so can use higher FPS.

Also, Eudorus has one.

The thing about P* DMR is you can get instant trigger response because you don't have to wait for the motor to cycle. I ran it one game. It is devastating.

Any M14 platform, if you have an ounce of class in your body.

I own a CA SR 25 with tightbore new bucking and nub, with heavy mods around 450 fps and all I did was switch the stock fire selector with one from a old M4 and it becomes sinlge shot only. I also own a CA SVD and a GandG SiG 550. The SR25 wins for external available upgrades, but the SIG 550 hands down is the BEST GUN I have ever used outa the box. This is a DMR shooting 400fps with .20's. If you add a rail and optics it is a DMR. If you want a dmr that is stylish the CA SVD takes the cake. Over all I love my SR 25 because it's getting a Madbull Daniel Defense 7.62 light rail 12 inch-RIS installed rightnow and has a crane stock, however the SIG 550 is what I would tell every one to buy if they want a top of the line DMR that is awsome in every way.

Anything with a long barrel and a Polarstar Fusion Engine in it will work great when tuned to semi.

Off topic Q to the guy with call sign "Stark." Why the hell do you change your call sign so much?

To answer that question my last call sign's didn't really fit me. Osprey and Reaper were cool names, but had no orgin, or story behind them.

My family calls me Mr. Stark (sarcasticlaly) because my computer is runned by a AI program called Verbots(I call it Jarvis). For example, I can program it do look up upcoming games by opening the AP calender, and reading it back to me on command, and alot of other thing like reading emails, weather on command, and use google talk to make phone calls, and be completely voice activated. So the call name Stark fits me better because it has orgin, and has a story behind it.
