Postby oxide1 » Mon Jun 11, 2012 9:34 pm

ive had my kwa cqb for about a year. its stock fps is 350 and now its around 230. i know its normal because the spring is just wearing out. my question is how much do you think this would effect my range?

Your spring should not be worn out after a year. I have a KWA M4 RIS that is 3 years old which is completely stock and it still shoots solid at 390. If you have taken anything apart I would guess that is it. I know my KWA is rather particular about how the hop-up is put on and if it off even slightly it won't work.

To answer your question directly: what do you think will happen when the kinetic energy of the BB is reduced by 40%? Of course it is going to affect the accuracy and range of your gun. I would suggest checking on the hop-up if you know what your doing. HOWEVER, if you are not experienced with KWA's I would suggest not opening them up. As I said before, they are particular about how they are taken care of.

For anything more I would check on the KWA forums or call KWA directly.

That's my two cents. Cheers.

Ok thanks. I've taken the gearbox apart but then after that had airsoft outlet do some wiring stuff so maybe that's it. I'll defiantly look at my hop up. Thanks for the help.

Did the problem occur after AONW did work on the gearbox?

I had the barrel/front end of one of my KWA's loosen up. After that was tightened up, no problems!

Also, some magazines--particularly those with worn springs--don't feed right and make it seem like there's a problem with the rifle.

I also have had this problem. If you run midcaps don't fill them up all the way.
