jg g36 dmr build

Postby wild_snow_mongoose » Wed Jun 27, 2012 9:22 pm

I am planning on turning my jg g36c into a dmr. I already have a 300mm 6.03 mad bull, a kwa 2gx bucking, and a 9.6 volt battery. I want some advice about what parts to buy to be able to hit people at 200 ft consistently. 450 fps is my goal.

you need it to be semi-auto only, so all a 9.6v is going to get you is a arguably better trigger response

Your feet can get you up to 100 feet and then you can hit your target from there.

You don't need no fancy range.

This is Airsoft.

that was just a list of parts already installed. I would like list of parts to allow me to run an m130 without destroying other components of the gun. I have a v3 gearbox.

We've had this discussion before.

It didn't end well.

Yeah.

so you want to take a JG G36C , make it shoot 50fps higher than the 400fps its already shooting which might damage the gearbox(since its a china gun), in Oregon where engagement distance is mostly less than 100ft,force it to do semi which will wear out the trigger switch faster, just so it shoots up to 200ft (which wont be accurate since its a "short" barrel assault rifle)?

Put in the following
a 450mm 6.01 barrel.
a full cylinder
new 450fps spring
metal bearing spring guide
new metal bushings (not bearings for 450fps)
an airseal cylinder head
air seal nozzel
full metal tooth or half metal tooth piston
High torque motor to pull that spring
madbul blue bucking
new hopup unit
re-shim the gears
low resistance wires to get better trigger response
Modify the selector switch to only do semi auto
add suppressor or longer outer barrel to cover the inner barrel

This will get you a great DMR, I've done nearly all that to my m4 except for the DMR stuff and i'm good to 150ft easy.

But i would go with a different platform for a DMR. Maybe one that's actually used as a dmr. M14, sr25, anything other than a regular g36.

I honestly would not use a G36C for a DMR build...

In airsoft a long barrel isn't necessary for good accuracy, but it does help a lot.

In my experience the difference between 410 and 450fps is not enough to justify giving up full auto. Plus on fields like R&R the only time you could be advantaged by it is sitting in the middle of the road taking pot shots at people at the edge of your range and getting no kills. Pretty pointless.

Thanks to all for the help, I have decided not to go the dmr roue. For now, I will not modify my g36 further.
