CA Sportsline and M15A4 Question

Just a bit curious, but is the CA Sportline model the same as the M15A4 internally?

Crazy thought:

Search Google.

Do some looking. Watch a video.
Pat yourself on the back. You showed initiative.

Ta da! The best way to get love and help here is to first detail what you did to find the answer. Including watching three minutes of video, this took me five minutes. Yes, the gearboxes are the same.

Sorry, ive been doing gun research quite a bit these last few days, i just wanted to have that option that others might know about, just trying to pick the brains of some other members in the community. But im torn between maybe the CA sportline with MOE furnishings and a M15A4 that i can add MOE stuff to it.

As airsoft goes, there are different levels to the "sportline" models.

I purchased a bottom end sportsline from a boneyard. It was a classic army, and the internals sucked. They sucked so bad in fact that even tho it was a 100% working gun i replaced the entire GB and internals. The sector gear was pot metal, had nylon bushings, the piston, piston head, cylinder head and spring guide were all extremely cheap plastic. This was however the plastic body model tho.

I've also worked on the metal body CA sportsline's, they are much better. The GB is the same, and in my opinion is not the best, but the internals are all better quality. The guy who owns it runs an 11.1v lipo and the only issue after 1000's of rounds was that the trigger got too hot and the contact on the trigger block was pushed back into the plastic. Easy fix.

So they aren't all the same, but if you buy a metal body one you should be okay. The plastic body one's are cheap crap. Only get them from a boneyard where they are worth the $70 new.

Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty
