SCAR-L Flash Hider removal

I got a VFC Scar-l yesterday and I want to remove the flash hider but the inner barrel is exposed a little, I was wondering would hot water damage the brass inner barrel?
I am not just another soldier that sees the world down the barrel of a gun, I see the world in a different matter. To me it's all shades of grey.

Just dry it thoroughly afterwards, and keep your barrel oriented downwards--don't tip water into the hop up and the rest of the gun.

But don't stress it, you'll be getting it wet out in the field anyhow. :)
