You're looking at the bare fiber stock (hence being able to see the fibers). I think it looks good though.

Ah thats why it looks that way. Looks kinda nice in that way.

The ARES AWM is really funky and finicky. Andrew (Cyph34r) has one. It works, it just requires you to treat it well. Externally it is awesome, though.

It looks great but Gas is out of question for me. I mean it is not so much more expensive but the problems that gas creates, hey but I love to be proven wrong. ANy more reason to get that sexy gun would be great. How is the upgradibility?

Also what is a good FPS for a sniper rifle if I run with .43 or so bb's. I was thinking somewhere in the 450 area or so.

I think this has become more of a Main project now.

Now if Maruzen made a spring L96 with folding stock I would be in heaven. So my current plans are

Maruzen Type 96 350
Best Tightbore barrel I can get for a reasonable price (It should be cheaper then my gun)
This would be my first purchase probably
if not

Ares AWM 520
New ORing to increase tolerance and FPS. I probably want to use Red Gas.

Remember there are 4 main points to seal well. The piston against the cylinder, the cylinder head against the cylinder, the cylinder head against the Hop up rubber, and the hop up rubber against the barrel. If you seal those perfectly then your golden.

I would do dirty, DIRTY things with that L96. Thumb-hole stocks get me hard. Back to reality....

I would go with the Maruzen. They have many aftermarket parts, and there are even HPA conversion kits for them, last I checked.

Don't go for red gas, it's basically hopped up propane. You still have problems with cooling. Go HPA, with either model, and you are looking at a no resistance bolt with consistent firepower.

I'm so inappropriate, even I need an adult some times.

It looks like the Maruzen is my best option. Price wise and usability.
Look at that the ARES 2010 Catalog announced an Spring powered AW 338. I might actually go for that then.
