I finally put paint to my Bar-10

Postby sounguru » Mon Jun 14, 2010 8:39 pm

Well after long debate and trying to figure out just what I wanted I finally laid out the paint and I'm quite happy with it...

Here it is against some terrain not the best because I was taking the pictures solo so couldn't really get a shot among the heavy foliage that it was painted for...

you need to dull that shit down a bit. get you some tans and some greys, maybe a bit of dark brown, id see that rifle from a 300 yards away.

you need softer edges and duller tones.

good luck
I am not half as good as I want to be, but I am twice as good as you think I am.

Try again among the ferns, stickers and salal that covers 90% of the fields I play on it disappears.. Guns painted in darker colors actually are easier to spot because everything is so light in color... On most the fields I play on I can spot olive and woodland paint jobs pretty easily nobody is looking for something that is the same shades as the clump of ferns I'm planted in... ;)

That pic is against pretty open terrain which is not what it is painted to blend into... It is also with flash on the camera so it has enhanced the colors.... too dark when I went to take pictures to get the real effectiveness of the camo.

I have a very similar job on a G36K and I get people all the time telling me they never saw the gun just me....
