Echo 1 M28?

Postby MikeRarrmeh [64oz] » Mon Dec 13, 2010 2:56 pm

Whats your guys' thoughts on it?
Was thinking about getting one, seems like a good deal to me personally:
-525 out of the box (chrono vids showed it was very consistent, wavering +/-3 fps, so good compression)
-Spring feet bipod
-Mock suppressor thread adapter(14mm)
-robust from what ive read
-Compatable with some vsr10 parts, and cylinder parts with mods

all for 175$

Was seeing if there was any equivalent way of spending that much to get a bar10 shooting 525 for that much, I personally have yet to find a way

i saw the review for it on airsoftgi and i have it admit it looks really tempting.
and just a side note; it was advertised as a non"rebranded" so who knows?

Half the video on it was talking about how it wasn't a rebranded Javelin Gun Works M24. It seems like a pretty solid platform, but do you have any idea what barrel it comes with? The reason I ask is it might be cheaper to buy a socom gear r700, and make it a project gun.

I don't think E1 has ever produced a airsoft item but it wouldn't be impossible either.

I bought one last week. It is a nice, solid piece of gear. Nothing feels cheap about it. Definitely not a lightweight. Mine is shooting an average of 520 with .2's. I haven't gotten to really test it yet as I can only get about 80' in my backyard, but it seems to shoot straight at that distance. I'll be able to get some longer distance testing when I make it out to a game.

The only bump so far is that the hop can be a bit inconsistent, but I've only put about 150 shots through it.

What guns do they mostly rebrand? from what I've seen the internals of it, and the closest thing (Javelin) look preeeeety different. Also shoots different, different clip insert location and some other things

Would it be under 175$ to get it shooting 520fps though? even without the bipod and threaded adapter? I don't know too much about snipers so im not sure if that would be hard with a socom r700, but the barrel length is 495mm if thats what your asking, if you mean quality im sure it's just like any other stock sniper in the price range. Just a brass 6.08 - 6.1 +/-

good to hear someones got it and liked it so far somewhat. by inconsistent do you mean sometimes it doesn't hop at all? or you mean it strays? Anyways I wonder if a firefly bucking would work or whatever snipers use ;) Just tihnk that with a good bucking, heavy weight bbs and a polished barrel you could probably have a really decent snipe for the price tag, thats what i'm mainly aiming for if i buy it..which I most likely will (I needed a backup anyway, and a spring powered seems like a good way to go)

Inner barrel is a 6.03 by the way....

And it takes a lot but not all of the VSR parts...
Cylinder, head, and piston being the only real things that can't be changed. Oh it will not take a z-trigger either.

Will have mine Friday and be testing it this weekend.

6.03, really? Thats awesome, didnt read that but thats one less thing i'd have to buy :D

yeah I know it said on the videos it wouldn't take vsr10 cylinder/piston parts without mods, but alot of other things work

Anyways looking forward to seeing what another person thinks of it, especially with someone who has experience with an upgraded bar10 :D
