Tanaka L96 problems

Postby Python » Mon Apr 04, 2011 6:17 pm

I am about to buy a Tanaka L96. He wants 350 plus shipping it comes with a scope as well.. But the safty doesnt work or is broken. But the gun shoots. What should I do offer lower or is the safty an easy fix or a costly one.. Also how does the L96 compare to the m700 by tanaka or the ares AW338. Should i just buy a new gun? Also im looking to upgrade it is it easy to upgrade it? All the help is much apreciated /Users/dennisjohnosn/Desktop/DSCN0396.jpg

That is a great deal, Sir. A safety (on a spring rifle) can be added by placing a part in the trigger mech box, but I'm not sure about Gas.
This is certainly worth it, and upgrade guides can be found on Youtube.

My buddy has a G96, and that is a R700 in an L96 body. So the parts may be compatible.

Switchback is talking out his a$$ again. The Tanaka L96 is very different than the spring guns he is talking about. I'd suggest going over to Airsoftforum.com and looking around their sniper section (snipers hide if I remember right). You'll have more luck over there.

Are you sure it's an L96 and not a, M700 AICS (M700 on a thumbhole stock). It doesn't change that much, the receiver is just slightly different. It's not a bad deal, but you should verify that it works before giving him any cash for it.

No idea about the safety, so I'm not gonna venture an opinion on it. Check out ASF, like Andrew said.

Use photobucket. Upload there, then post the link inside image brackets, like this.

Sir? Nowhere did I say that spring rifles are the same as gas rifles. I just noted that spring rifles have safeties that are added into the trigger box, and that I was not sure about gas rifles.
Please keep your flamin' comments to yourself.
Thank You.

You linked to an album, not an individual picture. Also, what's the album password? If you remove the brackets, we can just click the album link, with the password to see the photos.
