The gun is $5 more on ASGI, but honestly, airsplat doesn't have a great selection of parts. However, ASGI has free shipping over a hundred dollars, so if you got $100 of stuff from ASGI, you could order the gun from airsplat if you wanted.

Might just order from ASGI, thanks mate :D !

Is the Prometheus going to make that much more of a difference? I don't know if the MB is steel or not, that might make for better durability.

opinion?

In relation to wanting the dragunov. I don't plan* (key word) on any CQB, but would you recommend chest protection? Gloves? Helmet?
I am going to get a mask that includes ear protection, but if I wore a hat, will that suffice?
Neck protection?

I ask this as I have seen damage from individuals who were shot anywhere from point black to 25/35 ft by super hot guns. Does it depend on the crowd, or do most people enjoy head shots?

Most players don't aim for the head unless it's the only target you're presenting them. That said, long sleeves are a plus, as is keeping your lips closed or at least covering your teeth. Different players wear different levels of protection.

Prometheus barrels, in my opinion, are some of the best available. Madbull is a decent quality aluminum. Yes, stainless will be more durable, as it is a much harder material.

With the SVD, Prommy set up, keeping everything the same and using just iron sights for now: What weight bb should I get?
Any for my n00bish sake, could you explain what the bb weight will do with/to the fps of the SVD.

Information: I will most likely be after targets 75- 150 ft, if that helps with the bb weight.

Although it will slow down the FPS of the bb, the bb will travel farther more accurately. I would recommend like, a 130 spring and .28 or .30 gram bb's to start with. That way BIO is accessible to you, and you can get a good feel for the gun.

go on evike.com look up matrix stainless 6.01 barrels 600mm for like 30 bucks i believe high quality stuff. some of the videos on youtube of them bending other barrels around these without them being harmed at all is very impressive. second sight is not needed. sad truth is your airsoft sniper will never shoot more then 300 feet (mine shoots like 100-150 accuratly(no tightbore)) and so a scope is sweet for looks but is not needed at all plus svd scopes are super expensive unless you buy adapters

Nothing says I didn't read this thread like posting an incorrect price for a barrel already suggested.

Madbull barrels are actually more like $30, which is $20 difference. Usually at least a half hours labor, and for some, two hours. And no, I haven't seen them anywhere for $50.

The Prometheus barrel is MUCH better than the others and worth the price.
