utg sniper. busted?

Postby Gremshaw » Sat Oct 24, 2009 11:20 am

My friend has a utg sninper a "UTG Gen 3. M324S Pro Sniper Airsoft Gun (OD)" that all of a sudden started to shoot like the bbs were made out of lead, only traveling half the distance they should have.

My freind and I both have different ideas about what is wrong. The only two I can think of is the air seal is shot or the spring is messed up.

Can any one else shed some light on this situation?

I'd say either your hop-up is messed up or there is a airseal leak....(or compleate airseal failure)

If you invest more than about six and a half seconds in fixing that gun it will officially not be worth the time.

It is common for the UTG M324 to fail. There is a upgrade kit that is only to take the earlier manufactured replicas to the same level as the new "generation 3" level. It is still not worth the money to build or upgrade as there are much better choices of replica with greater potential for proper upgrades.

I'm not surprised that the M324 sniper rifle is failing; I have heard some bad things about this gun, mainly the quality/performance. I would have to agree that it probably isn't worth fixing. I would just go and get a UTG L96 airsoft sniper rifle; they offer much better performance, accuracy, and especially quality/durability. You should be able to pick one up for around $150 or so (with a good 4x32 scope). Sorry to be another bearer of bad news, but I beleive that the other people that replied have made some good points. Just my 2 cents though.

I would say that if it's going to cost you any money at all to repair that gun, just start saving for a new one. I've owned one of those M324s, and I can tell you would have to make a real effort to buy a lower quality rifle.
