Need opinions on buying first gun.

I am new to airsoft and looking into the snipers. I found the JG BAR 10 Spring Sniper Rifle and it looks good, but i don't really know what im looking for. Is this gun accurate? Is there better guns for around the same price?

If it's your first gun... dont' buy a "sniper" rifle. Buy an AEG. Everyone will tell you the same.

Buy a "sniper" rifle later.

The issue with getting a sniper as a first gun is that it will severely limit your playing options as to where and how often you will be able to actually use it. I would suggest getting an M-4 variant as expensive (reliable ) as you can swing. The M-4 is way more versatile in a variety of situations from close quarter combat all the way to designated marksman (counter sniper) You will be way happier and find your self getting "killed"/ overrun way less with an AEG. The sniper gun has kind of a specialized role. Its your call but thats my 2 cents.

First off, need a few details...

What is your budget?
What do you want to play as aka what role (sniper, support, assault, ?)

DJ I will look into the M-4. It would be nice to be versatile. I also do like just having the soecialized role at the same time tho. Do you have any suggestions in the sniper catagory?

Budget would be around 200$ not much more. My role would be a sniper.

Can you elaborate on why you disagree?

Personally I also disagree a shit ton with Nikan. I myself used to own a Bar10 (I think JG) I put around $120 of upgrades into it making it a total of around 240 at the time, it worked amazingly.

EDIT: I believe you made a decent choice on the Bar-10. But as far as if you get the Bar 10, I would suggest buying some upgrades, such as a spring, TBB etc.

I'll concede that money can buy a better tool, but it's the mechanic that gets the job done.
You can build a decent / working rig that gets the job done without taking on a mortgage.
Time spent on field craft will serve you far better than a bunch of upgrades.
