SR-25 Upgrade question

SR-25 Upgrade question

A friend of mine who is in the UK recently bought an A&K SR-25 and I am going to send her a spring to upgrade the part. The question is, what is the highest spring that the gearbox can handle without breaking apart??? My guess is nothing above a M150-160 just to be on the safe side.

about a 145% and this is the wrong froums to post AEG info.

Also dont forget that the UK has laws in place that make it illegal to have a replica that shoots over 1 joule (328 FPS)

And SR25's work best with PSG-1 length springs.

Needs the longer spring because of the elongated version 2 gearbox...correct?

Yes. Regular length springs work, but don't give the FPS that they should. I've also heard of this happening with M249's, but I haven't tested it.
