Which L96 brand is the best?

Postby Arrowking1 » Sun Jul 11, 2010 2:43 pm

for weeks i have looked into buying an L96 bold action sniper. i have seen them in action and they are deadly effective. I have seen people use the UTG, the Wells, and the TSD, and i have only fired the TSD, and now im looking into airsoftmegastore's deal on the wells. Pls tell me your thoughts on which is best. I am not going to buy the maruzen or tokyo marui.

I wish I had a bold action sniper rifle, mine are pretty cowardly...

The shadow ops one is alright and fairly cheap.

The UTG L96 is pretty good as my friend has one he has been tinkering with for a while.

1st off, the barrel spacers move around, throwing off the shots (you will need to glue them to the OUTER barrel, NOT the inner barrel).

2nd, its stock barrel is rather shotty- tight boar is a must.

And just as an FYI, no sniper rifle is going to shoot true consistently unless you put lots of time, money and effort into it. Make sure you like the role of "sniper" or "scout" before you buy anything. (try other peoples' at skirmishes- although it seems you already have)

Lastly, you are probably going to be flamed by the rest of the sniper community, best of luck.

Technically, it's a sniper gun, as the barrel is not rifled. ;)

Aren't TSDs compatible with Maruzen internals?

Tokyo Marui. Simply amazing gun. Held it and test fired, I think it's one of the best L96 replicas out there, but with more time, could be the best.

The Tokyo Marui is decent (I'm working on one right now), but I wouldn't pay the extra $150 just for the mag to be in the right place and the trigger to be adjustable. The loading nozzle on the TM is also badly made. It does work, but it's very weak and easily broken. Get the UTG and upgrade it.
For every action (Bang) there is an equal and opposite reaction (HIT!)

Moscow, Idaho, is a 5 minute drive from me, and I live in Washington. I know of, off the top of my head, 15 people from Idaho that are part of the SA community. I know 5 people from Montana that drive over for SA games.

If you don't live in the Pac NW, I probably wouldn't lecture or make statements concerning it's geography. Thanks.

Washington....Isn't that where the president lives?

if you have nothing valuable to contribute to a conversation, then just leave it the shazaam alone, its really that simple.
