large cal. sniper rifles for milsim look

Postby Stray » Wed Dec 07, 2011 1:54 am

There are many large Cal. Rifles for military snipers for anti vehicle and other specific taskings. There are a couple I know of that are larger then a 7.62nato but not sure what else would be out there. That are in cerculatiin or testing that the public knows about that would be adapted. In your opinion what would be the best rifle. Please state the rifle and then the best brand that reproduses the rifle. I.am listing the rifles I know and what brands I would buy if you have a different opinion let.me know.

M200 Cheytav brand Socom Gear

M82 Barrett 50 cal. Socom gear

Barrett MRAD. Maybe rumors of remake?

SVD A&K or King Arms

L96 Wells

M700 no band

A few of those are 7.62

If you want a milsim look, go with an SVD (bad guy) or M110/AR10/SR25 AR platform with a .308

They have people using the .50 and other shit but honestly, not at the ranges of airsoft, and you're actually making yourself less accurate because of the overall length due to the body and large magazine well, whereas you can get the longest barrel length (and accuracy) probably from an L86 bullpup chambered in .223

It wouldn't be for real events persay its more of for looks for a movie I am trying to do for my portfolio for school. And I would be able to use it against a rival team that I play against that claim there ATV are light armor trucks or some BS and a regular rifle round or M203 won't knock out the ATV.

As for the SVD I was thinking The A&K SVD springer most likely but I heard it can be a pain with the small cocking handle. Is there a gas SVD? I haven't seen one on any sites but wasn't sure if over seas holding out on us.

There's a CO2 conversion kit for the A&K SVD.

If their vehicle is an APC, then an M203 will mess it up (wheels, tracks or gunners). Or you could get a plastic soda bottle with a cloth hanging out the top and say you threw a molotov cocktail on top of it and now the invincible APC is full of dead soldiers.

Lmao that's a good idea. I may just do that. Or sticky brick C4 charges to go all CoD on em. Has anyone ever used a socom gear cheytac? There is one that has 2 bolts 1 mag 10 shells and custom paint job on the first sword forum for 1500. But not sure if its worth that. It be nice for the movie but I don't want a huge beast taking up room if its not worth it

the A&k dragunavs are really good, everyone says they are hard to cock, but after maybe ten rounds you get used to it and you will start to build up a callus. as for the gun it is very accurate, however the front sight does wobble a little so you have to get used to that. I was able to hit a pop can from about 250 feet away with a .43g bb and four or five shots, also if you put a tightbore in it and fill the stock with foam it is very quiet. as a bonus it is only $114 off of Airrattle
Be courageous. I have seen many depressions in business. Always America has emerged from these stronger and more prosperous. Be brave as your fathers before you. Have faith! Go forward!
