Airsoft-safe Soviet Tanker Goggles

I've been running around as a Eastern-bloc soldier with American dust goggles. I'm looking for Soviet-style tanker goggles, but I can't find any that are airsoft-safe. Does anyone know of a place that sells airsoft-safe soviet style tanker goggles?

Buy some real ones and replace the lenses.

why aren't they airsoft safe? are the lenses glass, or really thin/weak?

i have those exact pair, mine actually have a pretty thick glass.

Well, I've heard that the lens thickness can vary depending on year, but I haven't confirmed this. I've also been given the whole "No Glass" lecture, but I have guys walking around on my team with prescription glasses. Aeono, you seem to be satisfied with your pair, how do they do in the field?

Comrade you should be fine. if anything, replace the lense's with poly ones.

Screw Poly. Mesh. WWII goggles from all sides looks SICK with mesh in them. The same would apply here.

I think I'll get a pair and get them outfitted with mesh at most. At least, I'll just make sure the glass is really thick.

Best way to find out about your lenses in an airsoft environment? Shoot them. If they break, replace them with mesh, poly, etc.

That.....actually makes sense when you think about it. I was able to find some poly sheets for cheap. What is the website again for the guy/guys that replace lenses with mesh? I can't remember. Thanks Liquid!

im not sure about a website, but its just as easy to do as the poly sheets. get some heavy duty speaker mesh for it and use the old lenses as a stencil.

Consider buying some glass security lamination film (usually around $15 sqft). Laminate both sides of the glass (or just the inside if you only have a minimal amount). They'll be much stronger and if they DO somehow manage to break, but they won't throw shards into your eyes.
