Pantac AK Chest Rig

Postby Cap n pickles » Mon Aug 30, 2010 3:25 pm

I had some question's about the Pantac AK chest Rig.

http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.p ... ts_id=6916

My main concern is:
Will i be able to weave a Pistol belt threw the bottom?

And how did you like your's?

POST UPDATE:

Some one who owns one please post...

I've never used that specific rig, but I LOVE pantac's quality.
And it looks like yes, a pistol belt could be attached to the bottom because it has belt keepers.

I would have assumed the same, I already know that Pantac makes great stuff.

Concerns are that the Belt loops will not fit the pistol belt. In Picture they appear to be to small.

I cannot 100% confirm this, but I would guess that they would just by eyeballing it in comparison to the size of the mag pouches.

I used to have one.
Yes you can fit a pistol belt through the loops at the bottom. I have had that setup. However you have to
connect and disconnect the pistol belt every time to take it off. because the rig disconnects in the back and the belt disconnects in the front.

Easy fix , switch the pistol belt around so the buckle is on the back.

That is considerable. Although having a Butt Pouch Configuration wil be a little weird. May have to drop it and have two Utility pouches and two canteens on the side.

Or just don't attach the pistol belt to the chest rig and you can have the buttpack .
Executive Outcomes troopers ran their AK chest rigs that way so they could have more magazines and other supplies , and even if you take the chest rig off , you still have ammo at hand on your pistol belt.

Yeah my Other Idea has been to make my own H harness (Thinner yet strong) and shove it under the chest rig, that way i still have the room, and the chest rig.

I basic Suspender system made from a cotton should do the trick.(Poly cuts into the neck, i am aware that the poly will last longer)

IIRC Kendo and Ivan both have those rigs.

Also, why not run the belt by itself? I'd cut off the loops and go that route. Having it attached to your belt seems like it would restrict movement.
