Derp. it SHOULD fit a battery if it's a battery that's made to fit into a crane stock.

Nope, airsoft took advantage of the ribbed reenforcement.

Yes, I know for a fact that will work. I saw one just yesterday on my friend's Echo 1 ER-16. Just a heads up though, that dark black rectangle on the side is felt. Yes you heard right it is a weird felt/velvet stuff that can't be pealed off.

It says that in the description I noticed...but it is just not right to have velvet on a rifle...

I think the people that were discussing the real steel crane stocks were under the impression that whoever said they were specific to airsoft meant that airsoft created them and then real steel manufacturers adopted them for use. I think what he meant was that they are standard within the airsoft world - ie they have the same dimensions for holding the battery.
