Camoflauge colors

Postby glockmeister » Mon May 31, 2010 9:19 pm

Hey guys I was wondering which color scheme would work best in nw oregons forest areas. I was thinking a dark tan with lots of od pouches (all over to help cover tan to get a camo effect) I would have an od hydration pack on my back too. I was also wondering what kind of pouches I should get for all my gear. I have a dropleg so I don't need one of those. Also what colors should the gear be. I have an echo 1 m4 with 6 mags, a kwa g18 with 2 short mags and 1 long mag. I would also carry bbs and speedloaders. I would want a roll up dump pouch also. thanks guys

Dude, you can just say "MARPAT", saying "Woodland MARPAT" is somewhat redundant.

The topic of "most effective camoflage" in Oregon is one we here alot around here, like 9mm vs. .45 on a real steel board, everybody has their own opinion.

I'd say, IMO, the the most effective camoflage has to be broken up by field.
Fields like Splat Action, you cant do better (IMO) then strait up U.S. Woodland.
For War Paint, I'd say your best bet is Multicam or Desert DPM.
For Sniperz Den? it's so varied, I'd say Multicam (effective when crossing field to road to forest to tall grass and back into the forest) or, if you're tasked with defending the city, even ACU would be good.

Check out pictures of the places you are most likely to play, then choose a camo pattern that will work well there. But remember that teams are broken up by camo type, so dont go to crazy.

Alright, where could I find some good multicam, I know the price but I have the expensive gear right now. And what color should I use with multicam, tan or od? I will usually be going to places like the farm, and sniperz den for op resurrection.

I prefer to divi it up between two seasons: winter and summer. Multi blends very well in the summer but for winter in my opinion its to light, and I think US woodland is the best for that. Personally I don't like any digital stuff. If you want to use multicam, the best thing for multi is more multicam. So multi camo, multi plate carrier ect. But it gets pricey really quickly.

Pick something, go to Op: Resurection, and look at the gear everybody has on. If you see a color combo that looks boss hog, copy it.

I'm getting the gear for op resurrection, that's whats I'm getting it now for. If I go I can't just get all the gear there.

Most effective camouflage, i would say is Cadpat. i have gone to games and no one has seen me at all. but when you are in like wood chips and stuff it does not to work well, other then that it is amazing. Just my $0.02 :)

CADPAT is the only thing that really works. And by that I mean it truly works in blending in.

I think I'm going to stick with marpat and the dark earth vest with od gear, I'm a guy with a grenade launcher so I can't be like a sniper. Thanks for helping out.
