How to clean hydration bladder?

REI might have those cleaning tablets too...

I've never had a problem with my Source or Blackhawk bladders.

The biggest problem with any brand of b;adder is mostly what you put into it. Any flavored drink, or stuff with protein, sugar etc... will cause stuff to grow. The purest water you can put into it will keep it good for the longest time. I have some water stored in 15 gallon barrels that is over 10 years old. It is very clear and still potable . I was pretty careful when filling them to keep out any contamination. Same goes for the bladders. Keep em clean up front.

I ended up putting some baking soda in a full bladder, then scrubbing with a sponge and then pouring it out.
I then set it up so that when full, gravity would squirt the water through the hose, and repeatedly filled it and let it empty itself to rinse. It works again! :)
