The cotton comment comes from survival, and it will drop you faster then a bullet in the cold. Cotton gets wet stays, wet and wont retain heat worth crap, but as someone else pointed out it is a flame issue for the US military. Special Forces also tend not to use cotton ever, except when they have to.

Blackwater - Ok long story short I worked with them (not on the shooting side but getting them beans and bullets) and one of my friends passed there pistol course because I helped him out training and getting lots of trigger time.

EVERY PSD/PMC group has a uniform, and 99% of them follow the collared shirt, kahaki cargo pants. Really any cargo pants will work so that is easy. Many companies issue gear, but have great leway on actual kit, which ended up with diverse groups at teh start, now days they are very regulated because image has gotten far more important with all the over night startup groups. Regardless Blackwater had a black collared shirt, kahakis and you are set.

find's it ironic that AF/Army/USMC issues combat uniforms in cotton and forum warriors say "cotton kills".

Also laughs when he considers that active duty firefighters are issued 100% cotton uniforms to comply with NFPA standards relating to flammability of uniform.

Khaki 5.11 pants, black polo and wrap around sun glasses. Everything else is dependant on company and location. Of course, this is based on 7 months in eastern Afghanistan in 2011, so your mileage may vary. Feel free to do as you please, because of course you know better. You're an airsofter, you are all that is tactical.
I feel this deserves to be quoted, and increased in size.

And besides, you've also got to have a DPM smock, blue jeans and an AR-18, not an AR-15. Three cheers for Michael Collins and damn the Black and Tans!

I concur..

Sorry..I know this is off-topic but I had to state this...It's why you'll rarely see any UA donor material or shirts fitted to any of the combat shirts/shirt conversions I make for folks...with the exception of air-soft enthusiasts who send me their UA shirts along with their field shirts for conversions..etc.
