OD Green Velcro

Postby Peaches » Thu May 21, 2009 5:56 am

Anyone know of any place in the Pacific NW, particularly Seattle area where I could by some OD green or Ranger green or even black sew on velcro. I was looking at Joannes as well as TT and all pretty much the only stuff that they have is white if they have it at all.

Peaches,
May seem like a simple solution, but did you check the clothing sales at Ft. Lewis? They might still have it. I know they did a few months ago.
Best of luck

There is also Tactical Tailor in Lakewood, and they should have it and a ton of other stuff.

Looked on their site and I didn't see anything like velcro, the only thing I saw was a field repair kit. And since I am going to the Seattle area tomorrow for the VA appointment, might as well stop by there.

If I could get on base still, that would have been the place I would have went first.

I looked on their site first, and it seemed kind of silly to buy it there when all I need is like a yard of it. And I didn't feel like putting like a dollar on the debit card for something I can get locally and paying for shipping and handling.

You should be able to get it in Tillicum at a place called Gaey Specialties. They are a trophy/alteration/awards and decs shop. Almost right across the street from the Foxhole.

I went down to TT today, picked up 2 yards of Coyote Brown hook and loop for about 3 bucks, could be worse could be better, though someone who answered the question earlier, wants to get me on base.......

Necro-post, I know, but I though this was useful info.

First, you will have more luck finding military colored velcro online if you search for "hook and loop" instead of "velcro".

I found two good inexpensive sources:

I have also gotten my hook and loop from here:

http://prostores2.carrierzone.com/servl ... tail?no=50

Has lots of different options for width and various colors as well. Great customer service and fast shipping too.

I always get mine from The Home Depot because it is extremely inexpensive. They also stock the kind that is adhesive backed so you can fix it and then sew.

Adhesive back is harder to sew. Does home depot sell OD green?

I saw a color that (to the best of my memory) appeared to be that kind of foliage green rather than a nice dark OD. They had blue, black and the green. I am about %90 that the green came in adhesive and regular, but that is all I can tell you without extrapolating.
