mp7

Postby pappyjump » Sun Aug 29, 2010 9:18 am

i recently bought a KWA mp7 and i can say nothing but good things about it. I am currently in the process of turning it into my main weapon but i have run into a slight problem...there are no mp7 mag pouches! Is there any way that i can hold the long type mp7 mags or are there pouches out there that i just havent seen? thank you

I think you could probably use MP5 or P90(though these may be to big)

Please tell me you are using it as your primary cqc weapon and not a primary outdoor weapon.

Actually i would assume its out doors since it shoots pretty hard.

I played around with a few of them and they shoot extremely well for being such a small gas weapon.

I can't imagine they shoot very accurately tho, the barrel is only like 3" long. And I imagine they would meet cqc FPS limits too, so you wouldn't get much range. Don't get me wrong, I love mp7s but I wouldn't use one outdoors.

most of the 9mm subgun magazine pouches should fit the MP7 mags. pantac also makes a dropleg holster for the MP7, believe it or not.

as for using it outdoors, there are people who use only pistols or shotguns outside and still compete with the AEG crowd. its not your weapon, its how you choose to use it.

I had no prob using my MP7 outdoors. Plus the threaded barrel adapter is now pretty easy to get a hold of so you can just run a longer barrel through it ;)

On topic, mp5 pouches work peachy. I also threw mine in a single m4 mag pouch and while loose, it held them just fine with no problems. I am interested in that pantac dropleg....

The mp7 mags have a unique ridge that runs the diameter of the mag. they do not fit mp5 mag pouches very well. The p 90 one work ok , they are pretty long. That ridge tends to hang up in the mp 5 pouches.

I put mine in closed M4 mag pouches. The flap/velcro closure holds the MP7 mags without a lot of movement, and keeps them from falling out when running. The only problem is that the mag is thick enough at the bottom that sometimes it can get hung up in the pouch.

And I can easily hit targets at 100' with the stock inner barrel using .25 BB's.

If you index your mags then the big ridge at the bottom is at the top. Makes them easier to grab. Also helps them fit in MP5 mag pouches better.

Is that style still available. My mp pouches have elastic that constricts them in the middle. Good for mp 5 , bad for mp7

Is it a written law that you can't cut the elastic? I've cut the elastic on several closed top pouches to fit G36 mags.

Eagle and LBT both make MP7 pouches.
