You can fit single mags into the double pouches, but don't plan on fitting more into them.

Probably not, the G36 mags are already a little wider than Stanag M4 mags and then there's the posts sticking out of them. Like Jewish Ninja said, you can fit a single G36 mag into a Double M4 mag pouch. Might be able to fit two into a triple pouch.

I have this type of mag pouch, its a BLACKHAWK!® S.T.R.I.K.E.® AK/M4 Triple Mag Pouch and it will fit the G36 mags (2 Cliped together).

Also with some velcro addons you can fit p90 mags as well.

Like other have said using double M4 mag pouches works for a single G36 mag. In the past I've used M4 triple mag pouch to hold two. My experience was that you either had to link them together or break off the tabs to be able to get the mags out quick and easy. Otherwise the the tabs always snagged on the other mag or the pouch.

As far as I know, the M14/7.62 mag poches can fit one, like the universal one from Pantac for sure, and I've heard that the regular 5.56 universal mag pouches will also fit. If nobody else has said, Tactical Tailor I believe also makes some primo double G36 mag pouches.
