radio and headset...

Im buying my first radio and headset and before I pull the trigger wanted some opinions. Here is what Im looking at:

Midlands are good entry level radios.

Throat mics on the other hand suck (not all of them, but the majority of them). From the Rx end it's like listening to someone talk through a plastic bag.

I used the Midland TH2 Tactical headsets before we switched from GMRS to UHF trunkable radios and TCI Liberators and Comtac II's . The TH2 is nice in that it incorporates a small boom mic and also has a large TEA replica type PTT if you like the TEA PTT look..etc.

The Midland TH2 headsets are actually a nice set-up and they worked well for us. Just take care of them and don't step on them..lol!
