A US ARMY SFG IMPRESSION KIT BY AP MEMBERS (MIL-SIM)

Postby Unconventional » Wed Jul 20, 2011 12:30 pm

This GEAR KIT FOR A MODERN, 2010 and up, US ARMY SFG (special forces group) IMPRESSION post coincides with the "ONE BASIC GEAR KIT FOR MULTIPLE MODERN SOF IMPRESSIONS" post that was the first part of the series of SOF's kit threads that I'd like to continue with. Please keep in mind...this is NOT a post to place pictures of actual SOF members..etc on...these posts are for anyone who is an AP member or guest of AP who wishes to demonstrate (via their own photos with kit on..etc) or provide info that will assist others who are serious about doing an accurate impression and who also want to learn and train to the best of their knowledge, about how to operate accurately with a MIL-SIM based air-soft team..etc. The end result should be that we have 4 quadrant photos of the impression by members or a member of the AP site, along with the most up to date (2011 and up)detailed kit list for all to use as a guideline.

This post is not for myself or for my son. We already have "real deal" gear kit put together for 3 SOF's impressions...for the most part, although not perfect...lol! This topic thread is for those out there who want to acquire an accurate/semi-accurate, "real deal" kit/load-out to be used for a US Army SFG impression.

I'd like to see both, "greenside" and "blackside" US Army SFG impression kit/load-outs, if possible. This US Army SFG load-out impression can be SAW gunner, rifleman, medic..etc..whatever or multi-role IF this particular unit has any or all of these positions.

After we get a solid, full-on consensus over a period of time, I'll put up a generally agreed upon kit list right here for the "US Army SFG Impression kit". Remember...this is for a US Army SFG impression kit, not standard military, PMC or other impressions. AND...this is just for the main kit items, not necessarily what you're going to attach to your kit.

Let's keep this post limited to the following basic items, starting from head to toe:

This one is easy and cheap (though lengthy period of time, depending) to procure.

Hate t throw a wrench in your Idea but I have not seen one SFG team with the same load out for all members in fact it seems they all wear what they each like and makes doing their individual job easier to do or at least less intrusive to the job at hand.
I do like the Idea of trying to hash this out but I am pretty sure there will be more than one recommendation for each item. The weapons will more than likely all be the same and that is an M4 variant with accessories if your choice. Most common radio head set I am seeing is a Sordin or Sordin styled dual comms headsets. with a round PPT on the chest.
That is all I can think of right now
Good luck

Thanks and I agree.

Post edited at the top first sentence to now reflect "Gear Kit" rather than "One Basic Gear Kit" as mentioned prior in my other posts.

People, this can still be done...all that you have to do is fill in the blanks and add photos of yourself with each impression kit on to the very best of your ability...even if many of the items cross-over. The end result will be very nice as we will have a category for each impression that shows the load-outs and equipment for each impression BY AP MEMBERS/GUESTS..ETC. Yes, I know they cross-over but there are still some things that are different in many cases. I'd like to see members rather than real deal people for a change to see how well we can do this. Those that wish to contribute...whether you are in or out of the military or LE or regular Joe's that do this as a hobby...please contribute. :o

Saw a few pictures a while ago, I'll try to find them. I've also seen Reservist/NG soldiers wearing CT 6094s, lol.

Double post, whocares.

Benefits of having multiple uniforms, allows for different impressions:

5th SFG inspiration, DEFINITE WIP, but I really only need some Tyr pouches in Multicam and a G17 to top it off.

I rearranged the pouches to the configuration seen in the MARSOC thread, other than that, just wore Crye Multicams for this one:

Based off this pic (top guy):

SEALs are also running the JPC, but I'll nab some AOR pouches for cheapish and a FAST or 2001 to differentiate between the two.
