LBT6094 fit small people?

Postby God » Sat Apr 07, 2012 8:37 pm

I am looking for a full body chest rig so I can run without my PACA. Issue, I'm f***ing tiny. I wear xsmall uniforms comfortably, even small is a bit, big... Would the LBT be able to fit to my size? If so, which model?

LBT's stuff corresponds with plate size only. From what I've heard, some guys plate carriers run small, while other run bigger plates, and their carriers are big on them.

What size plate do you wear?

Extra Small - 1.27 kg (2.8 lb) | 184 x 292 mm (7¼ x 11½ in)
Small - 1.59 kg (3.5 lb) | 222 x 298 mm (8¾ x 11¾ in)
Medium - 1.82 kg (4.0 lb) | 241 x 318 mm (9½ x 12½ in)
Large - 2.09 kg (4.6 lb) | 260 x 337 mm (10⅛ x 13¼ in)
Extra Large 2.40 kg (5.3 lb) | 280 x 356 mm (11 x 14 in)
ESAPI plates are the same size but slightly greater in weight.
Extra Small - 1.70 kg (3.75 lb)
Small - 2.08 kg (4.60 lb)
Medium - 2.50 kg (5.50 lb)
Large - 2.85 kg (6.30 lb)
Extra Large - 3.25 kg (7.20 lb)
Torso side plates are as follows:
1 kg (2.3 lb) | 150 x 200 mm (6 x 8 )

Hmm... I've got a chest cage diameter of 32 inches.

That makes me a medium, which is what I wear.

Thought about others?

I can give you a good idea of what to wear from Pantac, Eagle, and LBT, if you give me your ideas on what you want.

Hardcore Milsim?
Weekend Skirms?
Moderately sized OP's?
International Peacekeeping?
Making Toast?

Also, weapons. I need to know what your blaster is.

Get on chat if you can. I'm usually there. ;)

My team and I are using the 6094 here in Afghanistan. Again like already mentioned above the LBT 6094 series is based on plate size.

One of my NCOs is built just like you, wears small plates and is using the 6094A. The 6094A is built for SM/MD plates, but the small plates shift around just a bit. He has no issues with it and is extremely happy with it.

Of all the PCs I've worn the LBT 6094 series is my favorite. Very comfortable, well made, and perfect for what we do. I personnaly am using the new 6094 series with the release cable. There are some improvements on this version over the standard 6094 that make it worth the extra money.

Not sure what your budget is, but almost $400 for a LBT is a great amount of money for just airsofting. I'd recommend used or a replica unless your made of money like Mossy, Jew, or Snowman.

Oh.

An Ebairsoft clone.

We thought you were talking about the real LBT6094A.

Well, that's cool, but I do believe the real version is MUCH better than the Ebairsoft one. If you'd like, I could talk about some much higher quality plate carriers, that are less than the real LBT, and look the hardcore mil-sim part.

By the way, the EBairsoft one looks a little strange. It doesn't look like a replica, a knock-off is a better word.

Also, is there a particular unit/branch you'd like to replicate in your impression?

It wouldn't be ideal. 6094A's (the smallest AFAIK) are size small AND medium, so it's slightly bigger than a dedicated small plate carrier, like MBAVs and EPCs, that are size S/M. If it's really a problem, look for something that's a dedicated size small, like a JPC or CPC but I doubt you'd buy a CPC...

If you're looking at the EB clone stuff, I picked up a JPC, which a couple people have mentioned (and I have reviewed, see above). I'm not particularly small (5'9", 163 lbs.), but it is very comfortable, and if you are tiny, it would fit more like a full-sized plate carrier (i.e. perfectly). It's also a very accurate representation of the real thing, and it would work for a "hardcore milsim" impression. I'm very happy with it so far and would recommend it.

Regular milsim usually means no fake gear... "hardcore" would absolutely mean no fake gear.
