So I have had this idea for awhile and just needed to get the materials, and yay i was able to get some scrap pieces that would work!


I need to finish a sling end cap which i have most all the parts to weld together. The tube is large enough for a battery. I am going to use a small lipo 7.4v in it, but I think it could take a nunchuck style battery. Lots of space. A 9.6 would fit except the last cell sitting perpendicular to the other cells.

I wanted some sort of m4 pistol for a back up in large games, say something goes wrong internally with primary and this thing would fit perfect in a back pack and use the same mags. Also I had been wanting to get and MP5k for the longest time but funds and finding one were a problem. This thing is just inbetween a standard mp5 and an mp5k....just under 16"(duh why not measure it)

Anyways hope you guys like. Appreciate any comments and crits. Also I am thinking of making more. if you have a barrel nut and short outer barrel lets talk! I am looking for some barrel nuts and barrels to make a kit atm.

Its definitely interesting... I personally would never use one, but I'm sure there are more people out there who have the "armalite+anything=sexy" attitude. (thats not an insult, its just really not my thing)

Finish or paint the metal somewhow to make it less obviously not a normal part of the gun maybe. Also, you might think about putting a side-folding or quick-removable stock of some kind, I could see something this length being great in CQC.


Also, 9.6V small type battery would have an even number of cells (1.2*8=9.6), so they would all be parallel, an 8.4 has the one perpendicular.

Ya it is not for everyone I would like to do some sort of a top folding stock if i could figure out the mechanics and make it, but it will still take any kind of stock. I just want a sling endcap.

Hmm guess i have an 8.4v battery...so a 9.6v should fit fine then.

Thanks for your input. I am not so much a "armalite+anything=sexy" person i just like the style/fit, and i have a lot of m4 mags. I have an AK74 and MP5 that I use regularly also. Armalite platform was just easiest to modify for my first full project.

Look in to top folding shotgun stocks, it probably wouldn't be to terribly hard to make an adapter to use one of those.

Right on! didn't even think about that. Mainly the locking mechanisim is what i am unsure about but i will look into those and see what i can find

ya i have thought about the tanker style stocks for m4s. The Mp5 is too narrow to try and adapt. and from what i have seen on tanker stocks they stick out the back farther than i want. Looking around i think i have got it. Anyone know of a good 3d program?

could possibly modify that so that retracted it would be shorter, cut the buffer tube down. Anyone reading this have any experience? Or know where I can get just the stock?

I Know I've seen those somewhere... Try Numrich Gun Parts, they have all sorts of strange firearm parts, usually for less than other places.

Also: One of those stocks would significantly improve my opinion of that thing.

I approve; the tanker stock would be an outstanding addition. It looks as if you should be able to cut the buffer tube down, since you don't need to fit a buffer spring in there.

Seconding the Tanker stock, if just to have something looking like a buffer tube on an AR.
