When trying to express oneself, it's frankly quite absurd,
To leaf through lengthy lexicons to find the perfect word.
A little spontaniaty keeps conversation keen,
You need to find a way to say, precisely what you mean...

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
Even though the sound of it is something quite atrosicous!
If you say it loud enough, you'll always sound precocious,

Ensemble:
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
Um-diddle-diddle-um-diddleye
Um-diddle-diddle-um-diddleye

Mary Poppins:
When Stone Age men were chatting, merely grunting would suffice.

Bert:
Now if they heard this word, they might have used it once or twice!

Mrs. Corry:
I'm sure Egyptian pharoahs would have grasped it in a jiff,
Then every single pyramid would bear this hieroglyph;

Oh!
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
Say it and wild animals would not seem so ferocious!

Mary Poppins:
Add some further flourishes, it's so ro-co-co-coscious!

Ensemble:
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
Um-diddle-diddle-um-diddleye
Um-diddle-diddle-um-diddleye
Um-diddle-diddle-um-diddleye
Um-diddle-diddle-um-diddleye

Bert:
The Druids could have carved it on their mighty monoliths!

Mrs. Corry:
I'm certain the ancient Greeks would have used it in their midst!

Mary Poppins:
I'm sure the Roman Empire only entered the abyss,
Because those Latin scholars never had a word like this!

Ensemble:
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

Mary Poppins:
If you say it softly the effect can be hypnoscious!

Bert:
Check your breath before you speak, in case it's halitotious!

Ensemble:
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
Um-diddle-diddle-um-diddleye
Um-diddle-diddle-um-diddleye
Um-diddle-diddle-um-diddleye
Um-diddle-diddle-um-diddleye

Mary Poppins (spoken):
Of course you can say it backwards, which is Suoicodilaipxecitsiligarfilacrepus!

Michael (spoken):
She may be tricky, but she's bloody good!

Mary Poppins:
So when the cat has got your tongue, there's no need for dismay!
Just summon up this word and then you've got a lot to say!

Bert:
Pick out those eighteen consonants and sixteen vowels as well,
And put them in an order which is very hard to spell...

Mary Poppins:
S-u-p-e-r
C-a-l-i-f-
R-a-g-i-l-

Jane and Michael:
I-s-t-i-c-e-x-p-i-a-l-i-d-o-c-i-o-u-s!

Ensemble:
S-u-p-e-r
C-a-l-i-f-
R-a-g-i-l-
I-s-t-i-c-e-x-p-i-a-l-i-d-o-c-i-o-u-s!

S-u-p-e-r
C-a-l-i-f-
R-a-g-i-l-
I-s-t-i-c-e-x-p-i-a-l-i-d-o-c-i-o-u-s!

Bert (spoken):
Here we go!

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

Cue the bitching.

We don't know how the costumes were made. Nowhere in the contest rules does it say that your costume has to be hand-crafted. We aren't judging your skills as a tailor, merely your ability to put together a costume - whether you buy something, find something, build something, sew something - doesn't matter.

This is also a contest put on by an Airsoft website. An Airsoft Website. Airsoft is all about guns and action, I am not surprised that a costume from an Action Movie was the costume that won. Are you also surprised that Democrats voted for Obama?

Apparently you also don't understand that EVERY contest with a public rating phase is a popularity contest. Ever watch American Idol? If somebody wasn't on top this time, just means the public didn't like their costume enough. They can try again next year. If the movie HEAT is more popular to Airsofters than an anime series, obviously it's going to get more high ratings. It's common sense. That's the way the world works.

And you are seriously arguing that war gumby was a better costume? One of the costume criteria is how much it looks like the real thing. When was the last time Gumby ever used a gun EVER? To me, that costume was worth a chuckle. I enjoyed it, but I don't consider it a serious contender, it's more of a satire. It's cool, people got a kick out of it, but other than that it's kinda silly - I think even the submitter knows that. He's probably surprised it even made the top 15.

he was asked to prove it was a working replica before he was selected as a winner, and he did. the same criteria would have been applied to several finalists if they had placed in the top three. he has 0 posts.

i call bullshit on your whiny rant. the entries that you liked didn't win, because other people liked different ones better. get over it and carry on. if you don't feel the need to grace us with your presence again, i think we might just be able to push on through the agony, somehow.

Harry wrote:Since you brought up ghostbusters, I highly doubt that is a working airsoft gun. It is obvious no JUDGING was done. The top 3 were picked in order. I call bull sh*t on your contest. It would not have mattered if I entered, since I'm not a heavy poster.

They weren't picked in order. Look again.

7 judges each put in completely different final ratings for every costume, and it was happen stance that the same top 3 were the same top 3 as rated by the public - just not in the same order. Just means we must have an idea on the pulse of our community. Means we all have the same good taste.

Yes, and effort can be in the form of research, shopping, building equipment and custom guns, and making your costume. How much effort does it take to bring a costume that you already own out of the closet and just throw a cheap Airsoft gun in with it? Not much.

Okay seriously? If your costume calls for a suit, who is going to sit at home and tailor their own suit? It makes much more sense to go to goodwill or salvation army and pick up a cheap one. It's just one photo, you don't need to blow a bunch of money buying fabric and making it yourself.

Will you shut the shazaam up and listen to what the people here are saying? It doesn't matter if the gun costs a grand or 25 bucks as long as it looks the part for your costume, the price of the gun is not what you're being judged on. Listen before you run your bleeding mouth around here.

Sewing is still a hell of a lot more effort than buying a costume, even if there is no reason to sew a suit
its regular clothes

Every contest with voting is a popularity contest, get over it. As said before, if it's some anime series that nobody here watches, odds are it won't be the winner. However, there are some movies/characters that get used too frequently and therefore aren't deemed original enough. This is most likely why none of the Boondock Saints costumes won. In the case of the winners, all three were quite original. Judging is over, the winners have been chosen. Get over it.
