If it makes you feel any better, I had to go to like 5 goodwills to find that suit.

I also did have to make (well, modify) the vest that the mags are attached to. It was a PITA figuring out how they were laid out and I had made the sling, which you can't see.

I even like anime.

That was your point? That Gumby should have won?

Wow, and people think *I'm* a whiny phony pony?

rabbit, i liked your entry and voted pretty high on it. at first it seemed like "generic CT guy" until i saw a reference pic. damn good job, all you needed was the TMP but the MP5K was close enough. i hope you guys come back and enter next year, i thought it really added a lot to the contest.

but you are right, the crowd here is much more the action movie sort than the anime type.

I was hoping that some people would recognize it from Resident Evil 4, I have the gun now.

Obviously this crowd isn't the anime type OR video game type, so I won't be entering again next year. I was hoping the contest would be judged based on construction technique of the costume and not the source material due to the judging criteria. Unfortunately there aren't many cool chicks in action flicks, so this just ain't the contest for me.

There's plenty of video game fans, just not many got the old school reference with your costume...

And ditto. I spend alot of time thinking and not doing anything because I can't think of anything that would be cool and feasible for me to do. Though if I start working now, I may have a good one for next year...

Congrats Winners. You deserve it. I'm not surprised I didnt make it into the top 15, but I had fun going out and taking the pictures for it.

Oh, and Harry - there are a lot of guys who are very well known within the community who didnt even make it into the top 15, or in the top 15 that didnt win.

Go whine to your mommy - it smells like she needs to change your diaper too.

Harry- get back under your bridge.

grahamc- I was more talking about Rabbit's HUNK, since the character is
from a well know video game.

beran- The only really cool one that comes to mind is the Bride from Kill Bill, and she has a sword not a gun.

I'm more in this for the craftmanship aspect than picking a popular source for the costume, so this probably isn't the contest for me. I might enter EVA from MGS and Cammy from Street Fighter Cannon Spike next year since they are kind of well known and characters I genuinely like.
