Fires are not the only thing keeping California hot this weekend. At EVIKE Headquarters the annual AIRSOFTCON took place and holy crap there were so many new things, I can fill up a phone book. So for the sake of our readers I will keep it to the most talked about news coming from the event and that is the joint venture between JetDesert Fox and MilSim WEST.
They announced the next step in MILSIM and airsoft; BLUE FOX TRACKER. The iOS/Android app will be available soon no approximate date of release. The application is a complete squad/force communicator and tracker. In addition it will serve as a bulletin board system for status of players, commanders and force updates.
With the app in play it will reduce the amount of radio chatter and leave it open for priority traffic only. You will be able to interact with personalities and sponsors at events. This will not only enhance the game but its a much needed valuable tool that will increase situational awareness in the battlefield forcing players to be involved and increase accountability.
The joint venture does not mean the end...MilSim West will continue to run amazing 40 hour dedicated hard core OPS while Desert Fox Airsoft Events will host more of a casual and fun game-play to please all ages. Interested in seeing it in action? The application will be showcased at Desert Fox first event at Battle for Los Angeles January 12-14 in Victorville, California entry fee for the event is $100.
Based in the press release the plan is to use the app all over the U.S. It will be a matter of time and patience before it will reach the Pacific Northwest. Full details of the event can be found at Desert Fox Airsoft Events Facebook and Instagram Pages. In addition since this is Jet is a stake holder there is a chance you get to play side-by-side with him.
