Good Guns?

Postby ducksrb24 » Sun Apr 03, 2011 2:03 am

I have a kinda bad !DOUBLE EAGLE! M83A2 (M4A1) AEG (around 250 FPS) and I'm about to get an AGM M14 spring sniper (says 375-400 FPS). Would at least the M14 be good enough for a skirmish battle or at least a CQB? Should I save my $50 and just save up for a better gun? I'm planning on getting a much better gun over the summer.

Simple.
Save money don't buy springers if you want to get into sport.
If your on the fence about getting into the sport, go to a place that rents like the farm and see how you like it.

Overall its probably best to buy an AEG since your more like to have fun when your not getting bogged down by overwhelming firepower.

Also, best to read the stickies before asking more questions about what to buy

You can get a G&P full metal M4 on airsoftpost.com for $270. G&P is arguably the best brand on the market (I say it is the best brand out there). You wouldn't be sorry.

You should always test your weapon before you buy.

I would recommend you get a good assault rifle (AEG). Spend a good chunk of money-it will allow you to actually have fun.. You can get an ok CYMA AK-47 on airsoftgi.com for 110$.

As valid as the idea of testing a weapon before buying it is, it is not always viable.

For a CYMA AK, I would rather pay the extra cash to get a full metal and wood one.

As good as that prospect is, it may not fit this particular person's situation. It sounds like the basic AK would more than double his planned price...the metal/wood one would more than triple it.

Hey I now what it's like to be taunted by price ranges. So to that I say this. USED USED and one last thing USED. Most people are pretty good with price ranges and reliability with used guns but be VERY specific on questions like WHY are you selling this, Where there any past upgrades or reliability issues. And finally just on the safe side find a good air smith in your'e area. Even if you buy a gun that works great it was bought CHEAP!!! Usually a good cheap gun can be turned 110 percent bad a$$ with good upgrades.

I know that Icepick has a TM AK up on the classifieds, and it seems to be pretty nice. Other (even less expensive) replicas of high quality pop up every now and then, so just keep your eyes open.

My gun shoots 218FPS... YEAHHHHHHHHRRRRR

But then again it's a super old TM which is still leagues beyond Double Eagle.

Yes! So classy.
Also, my answer to the "good"/cheap gun question: this.

If you want a CQB weapon, go for a Tri-Shot Shotgun; they work great indoors, and aren't too shabby playing outside if you know how to move and aim.
I would also recommend getting an MP5 as a starter replica; the magazines can be found for extremely cheap and they fit into about any type of pouch imaginable. They offer the most size:capacity(in midcaps) efficiency and are not "another M4". I have an E1 if you're interested.

why are you telling him to get a shotty for cqb (close quarter battle) switchback? lol they are cool but youll find that when someone is shooting at you in full auto, a tri-shot 10 round shotty is the last thing you want. but then again, to each thier own, just my view. i dont know switch , he may work well with that load out. i use my M4 and that sucks too due to overall length of the gun,so i have no room to talk. :D
