Postby spazgar » Thu Apr 26, 2012 7:39 pm

Hey all, i just moved up here to Astoria in January and im trying to get back into airsoft. I lived in cali for the last 8 years and thats where i got into airsoft. i played with the st james grenadiers for a little but work wouldnt let me stay committed. im out of the marines now and ready to do this. theres only one problem, i dont know where to go to. i found airsoft arena and once my truck is out of the shop i should be heading there. never got into the whole indoor/urban scene by who knows.

Welcome to AP! Have fun!!
What do you fight for?
I don't hate Mossy, I just hate the fact he has more gear than me.

Welcome, man! If you find the indoor arena lacking (some do, some don't), there's a free game in Scappoose on the 5th. That'll be ALL good ol' fashioned woods. :) Have fun, read the stickies, don't be a bigot, yada yada yada etc. ;]

Welcome.

Being former military, you'll probably really hate airsofters. Try to ignore it for the first six months, until you're hooked and know a few decent people out here.

There are lots of games in the area. Come out and play and wait a bit before you try connecting with a team. Even if you like a team and run with them for a game, give it a few months. A lot of people in the area will S your D to get membership, then you'll realize they are janky.

Also, read the stickies and become acquainted with the rules up here.

There are free or cheap games pretty much every weekend.
