electric blow back

is it as crisp as GBB? does it drain the battery faster? does it actually give the affect of recoil? for example http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.p ... ts_id=6236

no. its a gimmick and is nowhere near as satisfying as a gas blowback. less powerful too. yes, the slide moves, but that's just it. it moves, i wouldn't call it blowing back.

Yes, most electric blowback systems are easy to disable as long as you know how to take a gun down to the gearbox.

If you want an AEG with a recoil look to marui. They are expensive but if enough people buy into these now they will become the norm making games much more real and fun.

Silentdawn, I agree Blow-back will soon be the norm but EBB is still in it's infancy and are no where as good as gas Blow-backs.

I've heard that blowback engines on electric guns are hard on your gearbox, any truth to that?

That M4 Sopmod was very awesome to watch. I sorta dislike the idea of AEG blowback... Because of the battery strain. I could be wrong. But it just feels like a recoil mod should pull more battery pull.

Only on piston hook designs. G&Gs design is pneumatic and therefor puts much less stress on the gearbox.

And I'm loving my EBB G&G MP5, makes an awesome sound and the bolt flying back does produce a slight amount of recoil. However, I would stay away from EBB m4s because their bolt only ever goes halfway back AT MOST (mine goes all the way back since the MP5's bolt is about half as big)... And who said they were less powerful? My mp5 is 370 fps stock...
