charger question

Postby 11teitzel » Wed Feb 02, 2011 10:38 pm

So i got my AEG and was going to invest in a smart charger, but then thought, are there any cons of using the plain wall charger that it comes with other than the fact it doesnt regulate whether or not your battery is charged?

Correct they do not turn off when charged which can cook your battery. If its all you have for now, just do the math on it and watch how many hours its been on. Make sure its not a 9.6 charger on a 8.4 battery or it will fry it. Ive done it after I sold my smarts. The the price of smart chargers has come down so much it won't be worth the hassle.

P.S You don't need to make multiples of the same thread. Someone will see the thread regardless of where its at.

Some wall chargers have become compact smart chargers that trickle charger after a while and have different charge setting. most likely though the one that came with your gun won't be.

Some thing like this is all you need if your going to be charging nimh batteries.
Works nicely, comes with all attachments for different plugs as well as a temperature sensor.
