Does anyone know how I could learn to fix and upgrade aeg's aside from just taking them apart and putting back together. Also wondering if anyone has insight on how to fix a stock that is locked in the out position and will not move.

Be warned though, it still takes a considerable amount of practice before you finally get the hang of doing it.

There are some basic resources available online that you can check before diving in to your project.

1.Perform an internet search on your job. Ex: Version 2 gearbox disassembly.

2. Perform a Youtube search on your job. There are some great, and not so great video guides on there for a variety of jobs.

3. Track down scematics or photos of your part(s)

4. Check out http://www.mechbox.com

I am sure others can think of more resources. Theres a lot out there. Also make sure you have the appropriate greases / lubes on hand if you are opening a gearbox. You will want to lube things up in there before putting it back together.

I have found that you learn a lot by doing with AEGs. Mostly in the "little tricks" department. Even the brand and model you have may have it's own little tricks that will make it much easier to work on, once you know them.

Pull down on the lever for the stock and slide it back onto the buffer tube or off of it ;)

If, by some strange twist of fate, this does not work, pull the end of the paddle that is closet to the butt downward. It should look/feel awkward, but that should solve it if the logical way does not.
