This was a failure of the PLA leadership as a whole.

I can't accept excuses that we were tired and hungry and what not after the game. The cleanup should have been done before the game started.

I only came down to the camping area in the morning to pick up my shirt and unfortunately it didn't even occur to me to take a look around the camping area to make sure everything was in order.

Myself, Darius, Eudorus, Tonka and Chef all had military experience and it didn't occur to a single one of us that we should check on our troops to make sure they had their shit squared away. This was not a failing by any ONE of us, it was a failing of ALL of us. and is something like this simply cannot be allowed to happen again in the future.

We need to hold ourselves to a higher standard.

I love how people like to whine on the internet and take sides and make a big deal out of something that is not a big deal.

The problem is this: One campsite didn't clean up their mess after an airsoft game, so they're banned from a field. It's simple.

I don't think it was the actions of PLA. It was the actions of me. I guess we should set up cameras at the next game and if anybody leaves trash they are also banned.

After the game I stayed behind a bit to help clean up the mess we had made on the field, which nobody else had. I guess everyone on AXIS side is now banned. I don't know what the clean up situation is on the NATO side, but I guess they're all banned too.

After helping clean up the AXIS side with PLA members such as Eudorus, I went down and was told my ride was really wanting to get home so I quickly moved my stuff from the truck near the camp site to a car on the other side of the parking area. I had forgot about the campsite. To me, the next task was helping get cars unstuck and out of the parking lot.

When you throw a house party at someone else's house, expect to either deal with those who trashed it (which BSP did by banning the offenders and their entire extended family from the neighborhood), clean up the house for the house owner (which BSP had to do, which a person who throws a house party at a 3rd party should have to do), or let the trash stand and not ever use the field again.

I don't see this as a huge deal, honestly. I think it's a culture shock when some computer gamers interact with some rednecks.

What the f**k does that matter?

It's kinda odd to just suddenly crave goat meat before an airsoft game. I've never heard of it before. My question was a harmless one.

I believe was just a joke to get people in the mood for this game until I offered to sell them one. Which was also a joke until Dan said "How much?"

I think leaving the rotting remains of a dead aminal is a bit worse than some soda cans and candy wrappers.

We all upsidedown up. Like I said, the cleanup should have been done before the game, not when everyone was tired, wet and hungry and trying to get home after.

This makes sense if Dan has eaten goat meat several times before. I don't remember him talking about it though.

Eating freshly killed animal is not strange to me. Many Americans do this. It's just that I have never put goat on my menu. Maybe I will try it sometime.

exactly..

and no josh I did not ban them.

This could be rectified most likely by PLA addressing the owners and asking that they be invited back and give some sort of peace offering. Nobody was there to represent PLA when it went down. So nobody could speak on your behalf.

We just passed the message along.

Darius, in a perfect world we should never half to pick up after people. They should be responsible and mature enough to do it themselves. But this isn't a perfect world. However we are not out of bounds for us asking people to pick up after themselves and especially the remains of a cooked animal. Oops I forgot doesn't really work well on something like that.

We also haven't touched upon the firewood stolen out of the owners barns and used to feed several of the campfires in your area (i'm NOT directly saying there were yours ).

1. When I showed up, people were saying "Yeah, they said the firewood is in the barn. Just go get some"

I didn't know it wasn't allowed. If we had known, we wouldn't have taken any.

2. Goat remains are much better to leave behind than soda cans. I know it's odd to a large majority of eSofters here, since they are more accustomed to a computer desk littered with Mountain Dew cans than the carcass of the animal they eat.

BUT animals decompose in the earth. You can bury the remains, you can let the dogs eat them. They can just sit there, and they'll be gone a helluva lot quicker than cans. Not that this was our intent, but because people on the forum are in the IT department of airsoft, they think it's shocking and disgusting.

3. We have admitted guilt. After the 5th repeat of feminine high pitched screaming from Karma, I've gotten tired of it. He's not involved, as much as he'd like to be.

And I have no idea who the 2-3 other people are. Apparently a few people hate me or PLA that I or PLA don't know. I take that as a compliment.

4. PLA is working with BSP. We'll try to talk to the field owners. I think this can be worked out when it's just the adults in the room.

5. There was some miscommunication with the goat head. If someone hadn't asked me for the head, I would have buried it with the rest of the goat offal at Ivan's.

6. What bothers me about this whole deal is that we have a lot of people screaming with their heads cut off about something that isn't even the main issue. The issue is us not policing our campsite. It has nothing to do with goat.

7. Leadership of PLA is apologizing profusely, but for the 5-7 PLA members apoligizing, you have the game hoster, the enemy commander, and the majority of players not worrying about it. It's just a few sour eggs. The same ones who usually make stinks on this forum about little things.

8. PLA is working on this internally. We have our own forums, and they're not hidden. We have a leaders meeting at the end of this month as well. I am happy this happened, as it will only make us stronger. I have never taken much weight on the eSofters' complaint factory, unless they have valid points.

After killing the goat the same day, and smelling it as I gutted it, I much preferred the McDonalds I ate before the camping. I think if I ate the goat *now* I'd enjoy it, though 3 hours later was a bit too soon for me.
