Maybe they just figured we're at the age were we don't need a babysitter.

I remember one of my babysitters, she gave me coco puffs before school and turned Beast Wars on.

I stayed pretty late Matt, but everything had died down and it looked tame. I also spoke with some of the guys from PLA, left my information etc, in the event something came out of round. I'll be back there if necessary.

I had to do some other prop stuff, and lock down a few other logistics for the other admins working the event tomorrow.

I did though assume that the people that were there were responsible enough not to blow up the field. Luckily I was right. If there would have been any incident, I'm sure I would have been contacted immediately.

hmmm I LIKE camping, and I CAN be there early for events, I'd do this whole camp site director job thing, but honestly i don't think anybody whose 30+ years old will listen to me if i say to clean up...

bleh I'm starting to feel i need to give Admin'ing a try to see what i think of just walking around and making sure things work how they should.

Byrd you'd not be surprised to find that when you put that orange vest, people listen quite well.

I like the idea, I feel bad that we think we need to come to this but I like the idea. Trash has been a problem for a while, nobody can argue with that.

Call me The Camping Captain then :P I'd do this, gives me an excuse to camp for events and I'm up most of the night anyway

Nope. We have never stayed over night. It would be easier to have a guy who's sole worry is the campsite. Kick him some of the money and not have to worry about it.

What? Seriously? What if something DID happen, how would the land owner feel if you told him you weren't even there. I don't really think I could do that myself, I feel personally responsible for the events I put on and I would want to be there to keep an eye on things. It just seems dangerous and irresponsible to leave the players to their own devices, especially when you are the one who is liable.

I guess it's your call, if you don't want to camp you can have somebody else keep an eye on things. I am just shocked and a little embarrassed for you that you aren't already doing this. That's like letting a bunch of people you don't know party at your best friend's house, and then leaving them there without supervision.

I'm not saying you should be awake all night. I'm just saying if you are going to host a game with camping, you should be there. Especially if you are a business entity that could be held liable for damages.

Make the camp cop an actual staff member of the business entity hosting and you are covered.

I totally agree with this idea. I think that would pretty much fix any future banning of teams for being lack of a better word LAZY!

Matt, I have always been the represenative at the campouts at BSP events. I choose not to offer my services this time due to the rain/mud bowl and didn't want to spend the greater part of the early evening stuck in my vehicle to avoid the rain and the mucky muck. What a boring way to spend the evening.

Someone being there doesnt necessarily mean that anything would have happened differently and someone has always been there except this time.

However it doesn't excuse the fact of what happened irregardless of someone being there or not.
