"Bad title, but glad they caught up to them and glad they are getting destroyed. There is no legitimate reason to have a fake gun that looks this real, unless you're using it to scare people like a real gun. Just like there is no reason to take off a orange tip and paint a fake gun black, unless you're planning on using it as a real gun (intimidation).

Fake guns shouldn't even be allowed to look this real in the first place, it's illegal to get into the country, but not illegal to have it. More often then not when Police shoot and kill some idiot brandishing a fake gun, it stirs up a frenzy that cops shot a unarmed guy. Just like the Shoreline bank robbery and shooting, there were comments left and right in here about "the Officer should have known it was a fake gun", or "ok so the Officer shot a unarmed man". Fake guns are fake guns and should look so, altering it should be a crime, which it isn't here.

If anything, these are only dangerous as people using them to intimidate people, rob people and commit crimes, just like they do with fake guns painted black. Same difference. Oh and by the way, people are assuming these are airsoft rifles. They aren't. People are looking at a picture and saying "i have all the answers". The barrel isn't fit for 6mm airsoft pellets, which everyone seems to think. They are not airsoft guns, nor are they made of airsoft gun parts."

Seriously, so what if it is capable of being converted? The guns, by State law, cannot be purchased under the age of 18. SAME AGE AS REAL GUNS! I had to have my dad with me when I bought my rifle.

Further inspection by Alcohol, Firearm and Tobacco agents concluded the guns in their current format were designed to shoot plastic balls, but by replacing a few internal components with machine gun components, the guns would be able to fire live ammunition.

A FEW ??? more like all of the internal components... and even the upper and lower receivers.. and well just about all of the parts. On my KWA at least

People like this are the reason this was even an issue in the first place. So you're assuming these arent airsoft guns nor made from airsoft gun parts based on your extensive hands-on knowledge of the situation and the actual guns in question. Ok!

.....did not have the orange-blaze tip required for all imported toy guns.

The ATF also determined that the shipment did not arrive with the proper permits to enter the United States......

I feel bad for the shop that was waiting on these.
