Wow, where'd the grump brigade come from?

The raffle is a neat little bonus on an awesome game. Coming down from Seattle, I'm a lot more excited about the game than winning and prizes, large or small. But it's a cool thing to have. Besides, what are we gonna do with all those sponsor prizes otherwise? Besides the obvious.

But seriously - are you going to a game hoping to win a water bottle, or are you going there looking for a fun experience?

Well, every indication of what I'm seeing has shown that TOP is doing a great job planning this OP... And that just happens to include the raffle as well. This thread isn't asking about whether or not you like raffles, it's just asking how people would prefer the prizes be given away. So he can mark you guys down in the "don't care" category, that's cool.

Why all the hate?
If you don't like the raffle you don't have to stay for it.

Top> Kudos on your sponsor list. Most impressive list I've seen to date.

Thanks Chapped.... What I'm impressed with is with the economy in the current state, the Sponsors have come through with some very nice items. Don't get me wrong, there have been A LOT of email sent out...:) but those that have responded have done great.

i hate raffles because of fags like pulsipher....who buys about 50 dollars worht of tickets and walks home with hundreds of dollars in UNEEDED raffles prizes, only to sell them off for a profit later.
I am not half as good as I want to be, but I am twice as good as you think I am.

1 ticket per customer is the way to go. The only event I've ever allowed extra tickets to be purchased was our last swap meet, and that's only because it was the only means of raising money to pay for the event.

For a paid OP, like this one, 1 ticket is the fair option.

I think combined prizes are a good idea.

Then I can win a vest, a pistol, and a PTW all at the same time instead of spread out over three events

And the Op is still nearly 2 months away! If TOP keeps this up, it's going to be a veritable s***load of prizes.

If the event is just an event and the raffle is just to cap it off, then I say 1 ticket per person.

If an event is for charity (something I have not seen much on here) or if it is to sponsor an organization putting on events so they can do bigger and better events, then I think additional raffle tickets should be for sale as well. The Salem Supergame paintball event raises thousands of dollars for charity with its post game raffle every year through ticket sales.

I think a raffle isn't a necessity, I go to a game for the game.

HOWEVER, Its a nice icing on the cake to have a raffle at the end and possibly take something home.

I also agree that it should be one ticket per entry...

The Silver Dragon is to the 1911 as the GSX-R1000 is to the Grand Vitara. They'll both get you down the road, but one helps you compensate for your shortcomings. "sleepy"

I think that you know what happens when single ~$20 prizes are given out, Top. You wind up with all the propane adapters.

But if they are larger items, I would do a vest by itself, and enough mag pouches to be effective in a little group, like, here's nine or so open top molle pouches.
